Bhubaneswar is approximately 280–300 km from Sambalpur by road. The drive via NH-55 through Angul and Dhenkanal typically takes around six to seven hours. Sambalpur also has good direct rail connectivity with Bhubaneswar, which many patients find more comfortable for a same-day or overnight trip.
